We build gardens and the structures that hold them up — decks, paving, walls, screens, lawns and planting. Byron and Manny are on site for every job, so the people who price the work are the people doing it. Most projects run one to three weeks.
The trades
Most jobs use several of these at once. You do not need to know which ones — that is what the site visit is for.
Plans drawn around your soil, your light and how you actually use the yard. Species chosen to survive the second summer, not just look good on handover day.
Garden design →Hardwood decks, picket and Colorbond fencing, slat and trellis screens. Posts concreted at least 600mm down, because that is what decides whether a fence is still straight in twenty years.
Fencing & screening →Both halves of it. Poured concrete — steps and stairs, landings, slabs, driveways — as well as bluestone, exposed aggregate, crazy paving and stepping stones. Compacted base, correct falls and expansion joints planned before the pour.
Paving & concreting →Concrete sleeper, timber and stone. Drained properly behind the wall, and engineered and certified where the retained height calls for it.
Retaining walls →Sir Walter, TifTuf and varieties that suit Melbourne. Graded and soil-prepped first, since turf laid straight onto builder's clay is money spent twice.
Turf & lawn →Drip to the beds, spray to the lawn, zoned so the thirsty plants and the tough ones are not on the same timer. Set once and mostly forgotten.
Irrigation →Cut and welded on site so the curves are continuous instead of a row of joins. It is a small detail that does most of the work in making a garden look designed.
Corten edging →The full package after the builder leaves — clearing the fill, fixing drainage, then paths, lawn, fencing, planting, letterbox and clothesline. One team, one quote.
New home landscaping →How a job actually runs
You call or send through the details, and we come out and walk the site. That visit is free and there is no obligation at the end of it. We measure up, talk through what is possible and what it will cost, and where something is a bad idea we will say so rather than quote it.
The quote comes back itemised, so you can see what each part costs and cut or add scope with your eyes open. A 20% deposit holds your start date; larger builds are invoiced in progress payments, with the balance on completion.
On site, the ground comes first. Drainage, levels, base preparation and footings all happen before anything visible goes in, and they are the reason a garden still looks right years later. Then the build, then the planting, then we clean up and hand it over. If something needs sorting afterwards, you call the same two people.
